We continued on our way to USC Marshall School of Business, where we caught up with Keith Vaughn, Assistant Dean, MBA Admissions. We had some spare time to take in the beautiful campus. The weather was so nice that a large portion of the student body was outside on campus. We also noticed that skateboards of all shapes and sizes seem to be very popular among students.
There was a lot of buzz with the MBAs who were celebrating their "golden briefcase" win from the Challenge for Charity (C4C) competition at Stanford, several consecutive wins for the USC team. The C4C is a 30-year-old nonprofit organization started at Stanford that now has nine chapters across west coast MBA programs. The competition between top West Coast MBA programs occurs in fundraising, social, volunteer, and athletic events.
We grabbed a picture of Emma Sugerman, 2014 class president, and Randall Johnson, USC's C4C Chair and 2014 MBA candidate, posing with the golden briefcase!
We had a great meeting with the USC Marshall admissions team, and learned a lot about Marshall's programs as well as the student life and culture.
